Account Information. When you sign up for Guepard, we collect your name, email address, company name, and billing details necessary to provide and manage your account.

Usage Data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including database operations, API calls, feature usage, and performance metrics. This data is used to improve service quality and reliability.

Device & Browser Data. We collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers to ensure security and optimize your experience.

Communications. When you contact us via email, Discord, or support channels, we retain those communications to provide ongoing assistance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provision and manage your database environments, branches, and snapshots

• Process transactions and send related billing notifications

• Send service updates, security alerts, and technical notices

• Monitor platform performance and prevent abuse or unauthorized access

• Improve and develop new product features based on aggregated usage patterns

• Respond to your support requests and communications

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your database content or production data for any purpose other than providing the Guepard service.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your database environments are hosted on infrastructure provided by leading cloud providers (AWS, GCP). All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+).

We implement industry-standard security measures including role-based access controls, audit logging, network isolation, and regular vulnerability assessments.

Guepard's SOC 2 certification is currently in progress. We are committed to meeting the highest standards of data security and operational integrity.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Database environments, branches, and snapshots are retained according to your plan's retention policy.

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days except where retention is required by law. Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

Access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

Correction. Request correction of inaccurate personal data

Deletion. Request deletion of your personal data

Portability. Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

Objection. Object to processing of your personal data for certain purposes

Restriction. Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances

6. GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process personal data under the following legal bases: contract performance (to provide the service), legitimate interest (to improve and secure the platform), and consent (where explicitly given).

We provide data processing agreements (DPAs) to enterprise customers upon request. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

7. CCPA Compliance

For California residents: we do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of any future sale. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We use analytics tools to understand how our website and platform are used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers on our platform.

9. Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of third-party services to operate Guepard, including cloud infrastructure providers, payment processors, and analytics tools. Each provider is bound by data processing agreements and is required to maintain appropriate security standards.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the platform. Continued use of Guepard after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
